I’m a student. Can I live at The View at Huxley Yards?
- Students are welcome to live at The View at Huxley Yards, with the following exceptions:
An apartment may not be 100% comprised of full-time students, unless the student(s) meet one of the requirements below:
1. Part-Time Students are always welcome as residents of The View at Huxley Yards, assuming they otherwise qualify.
2. Household members are married and entitled to file a joint tax return.
3. The household consists of all single parents and their children, and such parents and children are not dependents of another individual other than a parent of such children;
4. At least one member of the household receives assistance under Title IV of the Social Security Act (i.e., AFDC or TANF assistance); or
5. At least one member of the household is enrolled in a job training program receiving assistance under the Job Training Partnership Act (known as the Workforce Investment Act), or similar federal, state, or local law.
6. At least one member of the household was previously under the care and placement of a foster care program under Title IV of the Social Security Act.
Do I need to schedule an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?
- Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by the office or schedule an appointment ahead of time on the website or by calling the leasing office.
Why are apartment prices listed as a range?
- Because rent is based on income and household size. Your final rent is confirmed after income verification.
What is the application fee, and is it refundable?
- The View at Huxley Yards does not currently have an application fee.
What is the security deposit?
- The standard security deposit is $300, based on creditworthiness. The View at Huxley Yards also offers Jetty, a deposit alternative.
When is rent due, and when do late fees apply?
- Rent is due on the first of the month. A $50 late fee is applied on the 6th of the month on accounts with a past-due amount of $100 or more.
What is your pet policy, and how many pets are allowed?
- The View at Huxley Yards allows cats and dogs, with up to 2 pets total. There is a one-time non-refundable pet fee of $350 for the first pet and a non-refundable pet fee of $150 for the second pet. The monthly pet rent is $35 for the first pet and $15 for the second pet. Breed restrictions apply.
